How We Work
Clear, practical answers about our funding approach, priorities, and how we work alongside community partners.
Funding decisions are guided by our mission, eligibility criteria, and understanding of community need. We consider how proposed work aligns with our priorities, demonstrates potential for impact, and supports long-term outcomes for older adults in the region.
Eligible applicants typically include non-profit charitable organizations serving older adults and community-engaged research with demonstrated outcomes for older adults in Abbotsford and the Eastern Fraser Valley. Specific eligibility requirements are outlined in our grant guidelines.
Generally, we have two open application windows, spring and fall. Current opportunities, deadlines, and key dates are shared on our Grant Seekers page.
We support initiatives that are aligned with our funding priorities and respond to identified community needs related to aging and well-being. These may include programs, services, research, or collaborative efforts led by community organizations that are working to strengthen capacity and support quality of life for older adults over time.
At this time, our funding does not support multi-year initiatives. We understand multi-year funding is important for building capacity in the non-profit sector and we are working toward offering these grants.
Updates about funding opportunities, reporting, and learning are shared through our website and occasional communications. We encourage organizations to check back regularly for the most current information.
